What Are Tube Bending Dies
What are the key factors from making a straight tube into a bent tube? That must be several pieces of tube bending dies to ensure your mandrel tube bender performs the bending job accurately. Let’s take a look at these dies and how they work for you to ensure accurate tube bending.
What is the basic tube bender dies?
Tube bender dies play a very important role to ensure the tube bending process smoothly and make a perfect bending result. The basic tube bender dies are: bend die, pressure die, and clamp die.
Bend die – tube will be bent around the bend die, so this means the bend die forms the radius of bend. The bending die is also used to keep the tube from flattening.
Clam die – you may understand from its name, the function of this die is to hole the tube into the fixed and correct position throughout the bend, preventing tube deformation.
Pressure die – this die provide the pressure to the tube to force it to the bend die to make sure there is enough force to bend the tube.
Above 3 are the basic tubing bender dies, but due to the complexity of the bend, there should be other types of bending dies. Such as the wiper die is the common bending tooling to prevent wrinkles on the surface of the inner side of the bending radius.
